Hair loss – So what to do now?

The medical term for hair loss is alopecia. It is perfectly normal to experience natural hair loss when combing or washing the hair, and you don’t have to worry about it. Losing 60 to 100 hairs per day can be seen as pathological hair loss. In this case, hair transplantation is the best way to achieve natural hair growth and fuller hair. Change your life with full and healthy looking hair! We will be happy to advise you by phone!

What are the types of hair loss?

The most common form of hair loss is genetic hair loss (androgenetic alopecia). Initially, the opened hairline corners become thinner and the hair becomes thinner and shorter. This usually affects men (up to 80%), sometimes women. Androgenetic alopecia usually begins between the ages of 23 and 30. You will change your bald look with full hair and youthful appearance.

In addition to genetics, hormones also cause hair loss. This is also called irregular hair loss. Hair density decreases, causing the scalp to shine. The latter particularly affects women due to pregnancy, breastfeeding, hormonal contraceptives or menopause (female hair loss). Weakened hair negatively affects women psychologically, because long, full and healthy hair is often seen as an expression of femininity!

What are the factors that cause hair loss?

Hair loss is not always caused by advanced age. Nutrition and stress are particularly important factors in hair loss. Nutrients such as iron, zinc, vitamins A and D are effective in the formation of strong, shiny and strong hair. This is associated with the hair follicle getting enough vitamins, especially during the metabolically active growth phase (anagen phase). If there is a deficiency in these vitamins, the hair becomes thinner, breaks and even falls out. Other causes include smoking and insomnia.

Our Aesthetic Myra Team recommends hair transplantation to men or women who do not want to suffer from hair loss anymore! We will be happy to inform you about this.

What is hair loss?

Hair falls out and grows back. However, not all hair loss is the same. Some people may experience it infrequently, while others may experience it in all parts. Intensity ranges from a few clear spots to a full bald head. In both my cases, hair loss is a very unpleasant experience for those affected.

What are the different causes of hair loss?

The most common cause of excessive hair loss is genetics. Causes such as chemotherapy, hormonal fluctuations, vitamin deficiency, stress, medications and other environmental factors can cause hair loss. Malnutrition can also rarely cause hair loss.

What are the risks of hair loss?

If there is hair loss in your family, the risk of hair loss is very high for you. However, in addition to cancer patients, people who eat irregularly also carry this risk. Therefore, hair loss can be prevented with a healthy lifestyle and balanced diet.

How common is hair loss?

Hair loss affects one third of the world’s population. The most common form of hair loss is usually due to genetic causes. 70% of all men lose their hair during their lifetime due to genetics. Hair loss is less common in women, but hair loss can occur in four out of every 10 women.

What types of hair loss are there?

The most common hair loss:

  • Alopecia Androgenetica – (hormonal hair loss)
  • Alopecia Areata – (circular hair loss)
  • Alopecia Aiffusa (widespread hair loss)
